What is a credit report?

Credit reports provide information about your credit history, which lenders can use to determine how likely you are to pay back a loan or line of credit. The reports include information like how often you make on-time payments, how many accounts you have and how much credit you currently have available.

To help you better understand your financial health, Credit Karma provides free access to your TransUnion credit report. We also break down the report and highlight areas you may want to review, like an address change or a missing payment.

Knowing what’s in your credit report can help you determine the best way  to build your credit.
